On Monday 17 September the 2018 AHA Awards for Excellence were hosted at the  Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort on the Gold Coast.

Following our success at the Tasmanian Hospitality Awards, where we picked up Best Stand Alone Restaurant for Frogmore Creek Cambridge as well as Restaurant of the Year, Best Specialty Restaurant and Best Fine Dining Restaurant for The Lounge by Frogmore Creek, our team traveled to the Gold Coast to represent Frogmore Creek at the awards ceremony.

We were in very good company with some of the best in the country receiving acknowledgement for their contributions within their chosen categories and we were elated to receive the award for Best Restaurant for Regional Australia for Frogmore Creek Cambridge.  Tasmanian Hospitality Association (THA) CEO Steve Old commented “For Tasmania to claim to have the Best Regional Restaurant in the country for the second year running just goes to show the quality of food and operators we have in our state and it is great to see our venues get the acknowledgments that they so richly deserve. The judges were very impressed with the overall quality and presentation of the food at Frogmore Creek and the outstanding service.”

Tasmanian venues were well represented, in total bringing home four awards, including our friends at MACq01 who were awarded both the Best Superior Accommodation and Overall Hotel of the Year – Accommodation Division.

“It was a proud day to be involved in the Tasmanian Hospitality industry” Mr Old said.
